News from Sweden

Hey guys, its been a while. I have started to study in Sweden and its been good so far. Met tons of people, and this is what I really like. Mingle with tons of people, try to get into as many cool groups as possible and even formed sort of my own group. Its nice to live in Sweden so far, even though I have a tough time actually mingling with Swedish people (haven’t met many so far yet). As far as many of my dear blog readers might know, I always point out the bad sides too. There are always downsides of the things I experience.
So there were two girls, who were actually quite nice and super interesting. So I tried my best to mingle with them. But one is, once I have met her a few times such a shallow character. I realized, once she talks in English, fucking cant stand her voice. It has this superficial undertone it. Its unbelievable, because I have never experienced that. And usually I would still go on for her, but since her character is such… well there is just nothing. She is the most boring person ever. Everything she tells and talks about is lied and a bogus. Oh and she is religious. She went missioning in Nepal. Trying to mission poor people somewhere in asia in this day and age. What nonsense and iam sort of ashamed, that I got interested in her.
The other girl is from the Netherlands, but unfortunately she never replies nor does she want to meet up. She is sort of badass and always has some this rascally attitude. Totally like that about her, but yeah, sort of a downer

The next thing which I don’t like is the fact that Sweden is such a strict country. Bars/clubs aren’t allowed to be open after 2-3am, most of them do close earlier. If you are a bit tipsy, they will throw you out or don’t even let you in the club/bar. Also I have this malmö by bike thing, they unfortunately have a penalty system which is quite harsh too. If you rent a bike and don’t bring it back within one hour, they will punish you. In fact they will give you one penalty point and if you have acquired three points, they will cancel your subscription. That sucks. I got one, just because I couldn’t bring back the bike (the stash was full, and I didn’t want to bike a bit further so I was waiting). Same goes with alcohol. Alcohol is strictly only sold in specialised shops which are called System Bolaget. Those governmental run shops do only open during a certain time. All other shops are open longer and every day, while these alcohol shops close earlier and don’t even open on Sundays. So if you want to drink wine/whatever on a Sunday, you are fucked. Alcohol in the bars is super expensive. A beer usually costs at least 5€ to drink outside depending at which place you try to drink it. Some of them can go as high as paying 10-12€ for a 0,33l bottle of beer(IPA, whatever the same beer goes for 2-3€ in the System Bolaget).

The next point is about my master. I cant say for sure how tough it will be, but we have to read tons of things, some of them do make sense, some of them are really hard to read. Sometimes I have a hard time getting all this shit done. And the other point is not necessarily a bad point but my fellow students are incredibly productive and efficient. I really admire them. They are having a company in their home country and dealing with it while hanging out here in Sweden. Kudos to that. I sort of fucked it up, but fortunately I have some great backup data, which was acquired before I left the last two companies. But every minute sort of counts because I need to use the data before the data becomes too old or get corrupted by the new accumulated data. Its also incredible that so many people go for a bachelor in another country. Its incredible to see that. I didn’t have the balls/never thought about that doing in the first place back then when I was starting my bachelor.

Another thing which is affecting me in a big was is that I don’t have my videogame systems with me. I only have my 3ds and my vita here, but they do not provide the great experience as I would have with the home systems. But Iam sort of glad, that right now there are only bad games out there. After the biggest letdown, which is called no mans sky, I am sort of done with the ps4. I have some spare games which haven’t been touched, but still the fact that I buy a console game which is broken if you insert the disc into the console. Where have we come to??? Why is sony doing this? Iam so incredibly disappointed by this fact.

These days I cant force myself anymore to listen any kpop or jpop. Its becomes the same shit over and over again. These days there is more than ever some sort of cringe-guarantee when I try to listen or watch one of these videos. I try to focus on my one and sole hobby videogames, which shouldn’t be infested by fucked up pc games or multiplayer focused bullcrap.

The last few games I have played are:

-Transistor(mac): wow, what an incredible game. Fucking love red, the heroine in the game and the atmosphere. Sadly it sort of stutters and I don’t have my ps4, to actually purchase a good port of this game. Played it for a few hours and totally got hooked by this game. I don’t know if many have played or bought this game, but this is for sure a gem!

-enter the gungeon(mac): awesome game. Love the graphics, love the idea of combining action-adventure and bullet hell into one game. Just played the first level and it already grinded my balls. Will buy this once its cheaper for consoles.

-mother Russia bleeds(mac): downloaded this game last few and totally got hooked. It has the same vibe as hotline Miami. Super fucked up soundtrack, nice backgroundstory, cool atmosphere. The only thing, which this game Is lacking is gameplay. Its streets of rage/ double dragon, but with less moves. Oh and its hard.

-Monster hunter generations(3ds): bought this game in july. Iam sort of baffled, that most friends of me who are just playstation-fans surprisingly bought this game. We played a couple of hours, but they still nag about how shitty the 3ds is. Sort of a bummer. So why are they playing this, if they can play it on pc? I had my fun with this, unfortunately a good friend, whom I used to play with is super busy these days, so playing with him didn’t work.

-Axiom verge(vita): this is a metroidvania game. It was developed by one guy. It was released more than a year ago for steam and ps4 but it was released a couple of weeks ago for vita. Downloaded it at once when it became available for vita. The format is perfect for the handheld. Tight controls, good music great atmosphere and fair checkpoints. My only complaint about this game is that the protagonist in this game is a fucking wimp and does not look cool at all. There is also no explanation about what this game is about or what the weapons mean. Still having my blast though.

Thinking about Vlogging, but i think i dont want to bother with that.
